Understanding Iron, Ferrous Glycinate and Serving Amounts
Iron labels often show two numbers: the amount of the source compound and the amount of elemental iron it provides. Understanding that distinction makes product comparisons much clearer.
Source Form and Elemental Iron
Each one-capsule serving of Vipcost Iron Capsules contains 75 mg of ferrous glycinate, equivalent to 15 mg of iron. The 15 mg figure is the elemental iron amount; it should not be added to the 75 mg source-compound amount.

What Else Is in the Formula?
- Magnafolate® levomefolic acid: 0.24 mg, equivalent to 200 mcg 5-MTHF
- Vitamin B12: 1 mcg
- Vitamin C: 50 mg
- Fructooligosaccharide: 50 mg
- Casein phosphopeptides: 30 mg
Three Checks Before Comparing Products
- Compare amounts using the same serving size.
- Use the elemental nutrient amount, not only the source-compound weight.
- Review allergens and other ingredients. Vipcost Iron Capsules contain milk.
Vipcost Iron Capsules contain 60 one-capsule servings per container. The full ingredient list is available on the product and Ingredients pages.
